For our first destination, we visted the Palais de l’Equilibre. This exhibition provided a lot of facts and figures round the "recycling" wooden globe. The importance of this exhibition wishes to inform the public on the importance of recycling and how its affecting our life. The inner globe is installed with a 360 degrees projector showcasing the purity of EARTH accompanied by 4 major languages, explaining in German, French, Italian & English. |
Öhm - Ohne Worte! No words to describe! Just LOoonngggg...
Sybolic feature of Neuchatel Arteplage are these semi-circled stones. Some people prefer naming them as the UFO's or simply inverted umbrellas... |
As mentioned earlier combining GayPride and EXPO, we made
our way back to the EXPO after the Gay Pride event. Here we went for another exhibition, since there is no waiting time, - Aua extrema for this special showcase.
This exhibition features water as a substance of earth, what surprised
us is this mega big refrigerator in the middle of this exhibition area.
Tubing filled with water and walking bare
footed on "reflexogy stones". As for this big refrigerator,
condensed heat from our plam on to the wall makes
a marking, comparing to the fluorescent
room in
Happy End |

The exhibition (
Manna) sponsored by COOP - one of Switzerland Supermarket Chain. Once you enter this exhibition, there is a very strong intense smell of Vanilla throughout the entrance. That caught us by surprise but very sweet indeed. Here one can physically feel & smell the intensity of special flowers, spices and plants. |
Although we have to stand and wait for more than 30 minutes for (Ada and Robotics) where we are not supposed to take any pictures. We enjoyed the spontaneous street performers that entertain visitors with their high stilts and "duck-sound" whistle. They are not allowed to chat with words but can only make silly quacking sounds as a form of communication. |
In
Magie de l'énergie, meaning Magic of Energie, we are again not allowed to take any pictures from the water effect
show. Although given piror warning of no photo-taking, we
managed to have a quick photo of me standing in front of a
man-made simulated waterfall with sound effects and slight
movement of the floor. |
|
On the left is a photograph taken in a special room filled with household machineries, the sounds made are then composed into a song. Interesting concept and jaw-dropping effect from the water show. |
Stefan on a "Date" with a fully automated Robot
in Robotics.
The autonomy of these Robots is very
interesting, every one of them has a special
appointment in explaining the different machineries
that are featured in the showroom. Fully automated
with 4 languages and interactive functions tailoring
to each visitor. Here we can predict how the future Expo shows can be conducted with lesser human costs. PROBABLY .... |
The inventor of "Aliens" - H.R. Giger contributed some drawings & ideas for this exhibition:
Ada - The Intelligent Room. We felt that the room is not so intelligent afterall, however it might be because one need more time and less people to fully experience the function of Ada? The producer of this exhibition should perhaps learn some special techniques from one of Biel`s exhibition: Cyberhelvetia in terms of "Let people wait but experience quality?" |
For those who have watch STAR TREK, this cube thing looks very much like a BORG cube, No? ehehhe... |
and once more.... No comments!
